Darkest Dungeon 2 early access coming to Epic in 2022

"I control something long scatty in the sunken faces of passers-by: the glimmer of promise," the teller of Darkest Keep once rhythmic. Recovered, in that location's trust again thanks to news of Darkest Dungeon 2 coming to early access next class.

The sequel to 1 of the most powerful roguelike games of the past tenner years, Darkest Dungeon 2 has a new teaser trailer out, fittingly known as "A Intimation of Hope." That phrase has been recontextualised for this trailer, which depicts a world overrun past the evil forces players encountered below the estate in the avant-garde.

"You were right to fear the world," the narrator says in his growly bass. "IT has gone demented. The gutters brim with poets, and decency lies burning in the street. But this is not a time for heroes." We see familiar faces: the Man-at-Arms, the Plague Doctor, the Highjacker, the Grave Robber, and the Occultist, whol locked in combat with the restless undead, who have invaded the streets of a township. The teaser maintains the distinctive heavily inked style of the first game, but the characters look more detailed, and each has subtle changes to their wait.

Here's the puzzle:

"Look instead to those battered souls who suffer known revere and nonstarter in good portion," the narrator goes along, "but rise again to reclaim a glimmer of hope from the spreading grung… of the Darkest Dungeon."

On that point's non a full-page lot of conclusive information in the trailer: it appears arsenic though the evil that was unearthed under the manor house in the 1st Darkest Dungeon has spread crossways the land, and now it's your task to contain information technology – Oregon at least fighting back against it.

Darkest Donjon II will likely follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, which was a party-based RPG game that challenged you with increasingly treacherous, procedurally generated dungeons that would psychometric test the limits of your characters' bodies and minds. The idea was to keep them alive long sufficient to grow powerful through experience, while managing the negative traits they would eventually accumulate from being exposed to the horrors of the keep too many multiplication.
